Cordé navy handbag, 1940s
In the 1940s Cordé bags, formed with rows of gimp sewn to a fabric backing, were described as very long lasting. This bag is living testimony to that claim. The Cordé part of the bag is perfect; only the frame shows wear.
The condition is almost excellent. The bag is structurally perfect, but the frame is scratched. If you want the look without the higher price of perfect condition, this is a great buy. Or maybe you know how to remove scratches from metal frames.
It measures: 10" wide at the base, 8" tall, and 2" thick.
