Hand-painted silk/ivory fan, early 20th century
The paper thin silk organza leaf of the fan is hand painted with Japanese figures set in a floral landscape. The sticks are carved ivory. The fan opens and closes with ease.
The condition is almost excellent. There are several tiny holes in the silk along the outer edge. This is reflected in the price.
It measures 16" across, when open. The fan is 8 1/2" tall.
