Satin child's dress, c.1907
This charming child's dress was deacessioned from a museum. It comes with an attached card: "Matching mother's outfit is in MFA's collection."
The high end dress obviously belonged to a little girl of means. It is fashioned from cream colored satin and is lined with matching cotton, which gives it substantial body. The bodice is trimmed with a matching, ruffled chiffon fichu. The sleeves are ruched and trimmed with matching chiffon ruffles. The dress closes in back with small hooks.
The condition is very good. On the side are a few holes—see the bottom picture. Even so it makes a wonderful display.
It measures: 27" chest and 25" from shoulder to hem.
