Wide brim velvet hat, c.1910
Romantic wide brim Edwardian hats are perennial favorites: they are so characteristic of Edwardian stylishness. This one is fashioned from dark forest green velvet with contrasting black velvet on the crown and trimming on the edge of the brim.
A large ecru satin bow and exotic black feather plumes complete the decoration. The hat should perch on top of an upswept hairdo and be held in place with a hat pin. The crown is lined with black satin.
The condition is almost excellent. The velvet on the crown is slightly worn along the folds.
One size fits all.
It measures 15" across and 3" high.
