Bias cut charmeuse nightgown, 1930s
This lovely nightgown is fashioned from peach silk charmeuse. The bodice is decorated with delicate hand embroidered floral sprigs and gently shaped under the bust with rows of narrow tucks. The nightgown, which slips on without closures, has silk ribbon ties at the empire waist. The neckline is trimmed with beige lace.
The bias cut molds the dress to the woman, rather than vice versa. Men are simple creatures—they will respond to the seductive style.
The condition is excellent and wearable.
It measures: 38" bust, 34" empire waist, 40" hip, and 59" from the shoulder to the hem.
