Chinese hand-embroidered silk shawl, 1910s
The shawl is an great buy if you do not require pristine condition, in which case the price would be north of $300. When worn folded, the minor flaws can be hidden on the underside. You can have the look of an heirloom shawl without the higher cost.
The shawl is fashioned from ivory silk and is bordered all around with hand-knotted silk fringe. It is hand embroidered with matching silk floss. The lightweight, smaller size make it easy to wear.
The condition is very good. The shawl has a few tiny holes.
It measures 50" wide by 50" tall.
