Two printed child's hankies, c.1930
These adorable little hankies were included in an auction box lot. It was common in the 1930's for children's hankies to come in packages of seven; each one was labeled for a day of the week. The "Saturday" hanky is signed by the artist—see the detail picture below. I love the sweet little parade of animals in the Noah's Ark hanky.
The condition is very good to excellent. There is a small (1/8") spot of mending on the ark hanky. It is barely noticeable because it is located within the body of one of the animals.
The ark hanky measures 8 1/2" square, and the signed hanky measures 8 3/4" square.
