Judith Leiber snakeskin shoulder bag, 1980s
According to the Leiber Museum, "In the creation of artful handbags, there is only Judith Leiber; she is entirely sui generis (one of a kind)."
Featured in the collections of many major museums, her fanciful evening bags are works of art. Her attention to detailing carries over to the design of functional everyday bags as evidenced in this fine shoulder bag.
The bag is fashioned from ivory snakeskin and is lined with matching faille. The interior features a zippered and an open pocket, a mirror, and a matching change purse. There is an additional open pocket under the front flap.
The condition is excellent. The bag shows very gentle wear with a few marks on the lining.
It measures 9 1/2" wide by 6 1/2" tall. The shoulder strap is 19" from the shoulder to the bag (total 38").
