Beaded and sequined silk flapper dress, c.1925
The sturdy, wearable dress is made from cream colored silk crepe totally covered with alternating stripes of iridescent sequins and silver-lined glass beads. The minor bead loss is easy to fix with patience. Dresses with great style, like this beauty, are often the ones that need work. This fab dress needs help to make it great again.
There are a few stains—see bottom picture. I have not tried to clean the dress to maintain design integrity. If you have access to a very good cleaner, you could try cleaning the stains, though there are no guarantees with a vintage piece. Fixed up, this is the type of dress I would sell for at least $1400.
The condition is very good. The dress has stains and minor bead loss. It is priced accordingly.
It measures: 42" bust, waist and hip, and 41" from the shoulder to the hem.
