#6593 $175
Embroidered navy silk crepe dress, c.1915
This dress can be restored or used for study or a pattern. The lovely detailing and a strong presence make this beauty worth working on.
The skirt has the same embroidery and beading as found on the bodice front. The edges of the overskirt, sleeves, and armholes are outlined with iridescent beads that add lively sparkle to the monotone design.
There are two separate layers attached at the shoulders of the dress. The outer layer closes on the side with snaps. The under layer, attached to the sleeves, closes in front with hooks and snaps.
The condition is very good. The dress has a few small holes on the upper sleeves and across the back neckline as well as minor bead loss.
It measures: 38" bust and waist, 44" hip, and 46" from the shoulder to the hem.
