Wrap blouse made from 1940s fabric, 1970s
The downtown New York boutiques featured these blouses during the hippie years. Made from old 1940s fabric, which could still be found in garment center warehouses, no two were ever exactly alike.
This one, fashioned from three different rayon crepe prints, wraps in a surplice style and ties in back.
The condition is almost excellent. The blouse has a few stains near the waist in front, which is reflected in the price. They are not too obvious with the busy print, and they may even come out with cleaning.
The size is lightly adjustable depending on how tightly you tie the sash.
It measures: approximately 36"-38" bust, 32" waist, 38" hip, 15 1/2" from shoulder seam to shoulder seam,
25" sleeve length, and 27" from the shoulder to the hem.
