Metallic brocaded silk reticule, early 20th century
A vintage accessory adds a unique touch to your wardrobe.
This charming little bag has a marvelous bronze bullion appliqué of a peacock with regally spread feathers. The raised body of the peacock is covered with brilliant blue silk floss; his eye is red floss. The bag is fashioned from ivory silk damask brocaded with bronzed gold metallic fiber. It is lined with plain ivory silk.
The condition is excellent. The tassels just need a little steaming to regain their original shape.
It measures 5" wide by 5 3/8" long, excluding the drawstring.
