Embellished round box bag, 1960s
What a gay, whimsical bag! The frame is silver tone metal with triangular cutouts. The collage on the front incorporates bits of needle point with antique and novelty plastic beads on a printed corduroy ground. The design is edged with gold rick rack.
The back is covered with black suede cloth and bordered with gold rick rack. The black interior has two open pockets. The bag has a black cloth handle and is labeled on the inside "Hand Decorated Original by Caron of Houston, Texas."
The condition is excellent. It looks like it was never used.
It measures 7" square.
