Black silk faille jacket, 1950s
Fashioned from heavy black silk faille, this shapely unlined jacket has wonderful hip detail. It closes in front with self-covered square buttons, which are still there (miraculously). I love the stand-up collar and figure flattering princess line seams.
The condition is almost excellent. It just needs a cleaning to freshen it after years in storage. There are no stains.
It measures: 36" bust, 26" waist, 14 1/2" from shoulder seam to shoulder seam, 22" sleeve length, and 18" center-back length.
