Silk skirt with lace/pearl appliqués, c.1900
This lovely skirt is worth cleaning and saving. It is fashioned from ecru silk crepe de chine and is embellished with lace appliqués, pin tucks, and faux pearls. The skirt fits smoothly over the hips with most of the fullness concentrated in back. The graceful train is quite wonderful.
The condition is very good. The skirt is perfect other than a few pale stains, which I have not tried to remove. This is reflected in the price.
It measures: 23" waist (plenty of room to let out), full in hip, and 36 1/2" center-front length (longer in back).
