4 inlay shell buttons, early 20th century
The black papier mâché buttons are inlaid with tiny curled wires and with Oriental-style flowers of abalone, which gives them their iridescent character. A great deal of precision was required to cut the tiny pieces.
The condition is excellent.
Each button is 3/4".
