#6427 $375
Kenneth Jay Lane brooch, 1960s
"I like my jewelry to be classic, something that is collected rather than bought for a season"—Kenneth Jay Lane
From the very beginning, collectors have responded to the urbane, witty designs of Kenneth Jay Lane. This delightfully improbable coral mushroom illustrates Lane's sense of the beautiful and the fantastic, sometimes intertwined. In this respect, Lane's work resembles that of Salvador Dali.
The mushroom brooch, fashioned from gold tone metal, features a pavé rhinestone stem and a coral-colored plastic top. The brooch is signed "KJL ©" on the back.
The condition is excellent.
It measures 1 3/4" by 1 1/4".
