Bergdorf Goodman bias-cut slip, 1930s

This fabulous slip obviously belonged to an expensive high end dress when it was new. Near the hem on one of the seams is a Bergdorf Goodman label with the handwritten name of the original owner.

The slip is fashioned from pink silk crepe with a bodice of very fine beige mesh. It is finely finished inside with hand stitched overcast seams and a hand rolled hem. The slip is so beautifully made that you can wear it for a dress.

The condition is almost excellent.

Bias cuts stretch, so the measurements are approximate.
It measures: 38" bust, 32" waist, 40" hip, and 59" from the shoulder to the hem.
