Embroidered lace/tulle evening dress, c.1930-1940

The torso of the dress is fashioned from highly textured, embroidered black lace. The upper portion of the bodice is lined withnude tulle, creating an illusion effect. The sleeves, elasticized across the top, can be worn off the shoulder, a demure yet sexy look.
The skirt has three separate layers of black tulle. The fullness of the skirt is controlled over the hips with smocking between the points of the torso. The dress, which is lined with black taffeta, closes in back with a metal zipper. The bodice is boned for support.
The condition is excellent.
It measures: 36" bust, 29" waist, 42" hip, and 57" from the shoulder to the hem.
