1920s beaded dress

#2767          $950

Beaded silk crepe flapper dress, c.1925

I love the bold graphic design and cheerful color of this dress. The simple flapper chemise style is the perfect canvas for the artwork. The dress looks as modern today as it did 80 years ago, showing that good design is timeless.

The dress is fashioned from glowing, burnt orange silk crepe. The beading pattern combines small cut-steel beads with matching bugle beads. The sleeves are cut-in-one with the bodice for a relaxed easy fit. The dress can be pulled in at the hipline with ties if desired.

Whether in 1925 or 2007, the wearer of this dress will stand out because the stylish pattern says the owner belongs to the aristocracy of style, a special cadre of fashion initiates whose smart attire always attracts admiring glances.

The condition is almost excellent. The dress shows signs of gentle wear. The beading is intact.

It measures: 40" bust and waist, 42" hipline, 44" hip, 19" from the shoulder to the hipline, and 38" from the shoulder to the hem.
