#9246 $150
Wool suit, c.1950
Tailored suits are perfect for the lover of vintage clothing who wants a garment sturdy enough to wear. This one features fine pin tuck detailing. The suit is fashioned from gray Forstmann virgin wool—see a picture of the label below.
The jacket and skirt are both lined with mauve silk crepe. The suit comes with a narrow self-covered belt, but it could be worn with no belt. The raglan sleeves allow room for a comfortable relaxed fit. The beautifully tailored jacket has bound buttonholes. The skirt closes on the side with a metal zipper.
The condition is very good and wearable. You will probably want to have the suit cleaned because it has been in storage for a long time. The belt has cracks in the backing. The cracks do not show when the dress is worn.
The jacket measures: 40" bust, 29" waist, 16 1/2" from the shoulder to the waist, and 4" peplum
length.
The skirt measures: 26" waist, 38" hip, and 26" length.
