Satin bustle skirt, 1870s-1880s
What a shame this elegant skirt has been disconnected from its top. The skirt is fashioned from rich gold satin and is lined with brown polished cotton.
The front of the skirt is decorated with stitched down pleats. The back is plain, indicating the original top was long in back. The skirt is bordered at the hem with several rows of pleated ruffles.
The condition is excellent. The skirt, which looks like it was never worn, just needs to be aired to freshen after years in storage.
It measures: 28" waist, 44" hip, and 43" center-front length.
