French silk brocade valence, c.1910.
Antique textiles add a special elegance to your room decor. It is not surprising they are snapped up by interior designers. This beautiful valence may be just what you need to pull the rest of your design together.
The valence was purchased from a French collection of early 20th century textiles. It is fashioned from luxurious floral silk brocaded faille and is lined with brown cotton sateen. The lower scalloped edge is bordered with braided yarn trim.
The condition is almost excellent. The valence is just missing several balls from the braided trim.
It measures 9" by 21" excluding the fringe.
