Hand-embroidered christening gown, c.1880
The delightful christening gown can become an instant heirloom in your family! The front is decorated with an elaborate panel of tiny tucks alternating with hand embroidery. The design is repeated on the sleeves.
The gown closes in back with three small mother-of-pearl buttons. The long ties are embroidered on the ends.
As a result of a century of storage, the gown has a few age spots. If you wash this beauty, you will have a handmade treasure at a great price.
The condition is almost excellent. The gown just needs a good soak.
It measures: 20" chest and 44" long from shoulder to hem.
