Satin/lace wedding dress, c.1930
The lovely gown is fashioned from ecru satin and matching lace. The lace bodice is bias cut, falling in a graceful cowl neckline. The satin skirt forms a long train in back. This graceful gown should be rescued. It has too much life and beauty in it to end up as a cutter.
The condition is very good. The gown has faint underarm staining. There is a tiny split on the skirt front just below the waist point. The dress displays beautifully as is. If you want to wear this gown, you can use a creative appliqué in front to cover the split. This spectacular gown is worth the work.
It measures: 36" bust, 26" waist, 38" hip, 26" sleeve length to the point, and 60" from the shoulder to the front hem.
