Sculptural silk party dress, c.1950
This shapely dress is ideal if you want the look without paying for a designer label. I love the sculptural skirt! A plain dress without embellishment is the perfect setting for showy costume jewelry. (Check the August update of costume jewelry for a piece to wear with this dress.)
The dress is fashioned from a layer of beige silk organza over matching silk taffeta. It is beautifully constructed and finished. The lined skirt is interlined with stiffening to hold the shape. The dress closes in back with a metal zipper.
The condition is excellent. Buy it and wear it!
It measures: 36" bust, 27 1/2" waist, 15 1/4" from the shoulder to the waist, and 24" skirt length.
