Bias-cut silk crepe slip, 1930s

I love sexy bias-cut designs. The style became synonymous with Hollywood glamour during the Depression years. The bias cut molds the dress to the woman rather than vice versa.

Antique dresses often have lost their original slips. This one may be just what you need to complete one of your favorite vintage pieces. The bodice is edged with black net. The shoulder straps, which are deteriorating, are beige silk chiffon.

The condition is almost excellent. You just need to replace the slip straps, an easy job.

Bias cuts stretch, so the measurements are approximate.
It measures: 42" bust, 38" waist, 44" hip, and 54" center-front length.
