2 pieces (2 5/8 yards) French whitework samples, c.1900
These fine whitework samples, along with the others that are currently listed, were found in an abandoned salesman's suitcase from the early 20th century in New York.
The work is exceptional. The designs are exquisite and beautifully executed. Each sample is hand basted to an ivory satin cloth with the original tag. Some of these samples have already sold for design inspiration. They can also be used for creating doll's clothes.
The condition is excellent.
Each piece is 47" long by 8 1/2" wide.
