Red crystal double-end perfume bottle, c.1850
This early perfume bottle, fashioned from ruby red crystal, is divided into two sections. One end closes with a hinged sterling silver cap and has a frosted glass stopper. The other end has a sterling silver screw-on cap. The caps have tested sterling.
The condition is very good to excellent. There are a few minor abrasions on the beveled glass ends. There are no missing parts.
The total length, including the silver caps, is 4 1/4". The red crystal is 2 3/4" long and has a circumference of 3 1/4".
