Brussels lace wedding cap, 1920s
The Brussels lace wedding cap came from the same trousseau as the wedding slippers and wedding garters. The bride's veil was attached to the base of the cap.
The cap is fashioned from handmade Brussels lace and trimmed with a partial wreath of wax orange blossoms. The lace, darkened over time, can be washed to be restored to the original ivory color. Make sure you first remove the wax flowers.
The condition is excellent.
It measures approximately 10" across.
