Bonnie Cashin knit coat & dress, c.1967
This fabulous ensemble, from one of America's most important designers of sportswear, still has the original hang tag from the Fall 1967 collection.
The coat and dress are both fashioned from mustard colored wool knit. The coat is lined with charcoal wool knit. Both pieces have signature Cashin leather piping.
The dress has a leather belt with a gold tone buckle that matches the buttons on the coat. The short, straight dress closes at the shoulders with buttons. The three-quarter length coat closes in front with buttons. Both pieces have set-in pockets.
The label inside the coat reads "Sills/a Bonnie Cashin Dress."
The condition is excellent and wearable.
The dress measures: 38" bust and waist, 40" hip and 38" from the shoulder to the hem.
The coat measures: 42" bust and waist, 44" hip, 16" from shoulder seam to shoulder seam, 23" sleeve length,
and 31" from the shoulder to the hem.
