German embroidered cotton knit gloves, 1920s
The brown cotton knit gloves are decorated with ivory and black embroidery. They close at the wrist with one snap stamped "Smythfield." I love the double rows of pinked scalloped edging on the cuffs.
The gloves are stamped "Smythfield/Germany."
The condition is excellent.
The size is 6 1/2. The gloves, which appear narrow because they haven't been worn, stretch a bit to fit. I tried them on to make sure.
