Silk silver gauze fancy slip, 1920s
I purchased this slip to use under a 1920s dress but it turned out to be the wrong size. The slip is too pretty to languish away in my workroom. It deserves an owner who can appreciate its beauty.
The slip is fashioned with two layers. The outer layer of sheer silver silk gauze floats over a beige silk crepe de chine under slip. The layers are attached at the neckline. The beige silk ribbon shoulder straps are joined to the armhole trim with charming silk ribbon flowers. There are no closures.
It could be worn for a dress.
The condition is almost excellent. The slip shows gentle wear.
It measures: 36" bust, 32" waist, 37" hip, and 43" center-front length.
