Deco metallic brocaded dress cutter, 1920s
Altered beyond recognition, the dress is worth saving for the fabric. The strong black-and-gold Deco pattern is superb. If you like to sew as I do, you can restyle it into a fabulous 1920s dress. I have to reserve my restoration time for the most expensive pieces.
As you can see in the pictures, the gold lamé lower sleeves are totally shattered. You will work with the body of a long dress, more than enough material to create a spectacular mini flapper dress. You cannot buy fabric of this quality today.
The condition of the dress is fair; the fabric is excellent.
It measures: 40" bust and waist, 54" hip, 22" from shoulder to drop waist, and 41" skirt length.
