Frank Starr evening dress

#7238         $750

Frank Starr sequined evening dress, 1950s

The American dress manufacturer Frank Starr produced glamorous evening wear for the ready-to-wear market from the 1930s until 1966. His affordable designs had elegant finishing that made them stand out in the crowd.

This classic creation is both ladylike and sexy. The dress is fashioned from satin-backed black crepe. The torso is covered with black sequins down to the hipline. The bodice is shaped with long princess-line darts. The dress closes in back with a metal zipper.

The open neckline, which is square in front and V-shaped in back, is perfect for displaying your costume jewelry.

Our evening dress makes a sophisticated, dramatic fashion statement. There is nothing so memorable to a man as the first time he sees a woman whose manner and dress capture his imagination once and for all.

The condition is excellent. It is clean and ready to wear.

It measures: 38" bust, 28" waist, 40" hip, and 48" from the shoulder to the hem.
