Lace boudoir jacket, early 20th century

Nothing can compare with the beauty of early 20th century handmade lingerie. That's why this piece is worth restoring even though the work is time consuming. This exceptional boudoir jacket could be turned into a wearable garment by backing the lace with net or hand stitching lace appliqués over the holes, or a combination of the two techniques. I just don't have time to do it, so my loss is your gain.

The condition is very good. The jacket, which has scattered holes, is definitely worth saving. If you have the patience to do the work, you could end up with a piece that would retail for at least $1000.

It measures: 38" bust, 32" waist, 50" hip, 16 1/2" from shoulder seam to shoulder seam, 30" sleeve length to the point, and 35" from the shoulder to the front hem (longer in back).
